The contagious disease whooping cough hit an entire class in a Blagoevgrad school. It is quarantined. Despite the identified sick students, the children go to school, but were isolated from the rest of the stream, RZI-Blagoevgrad reported. The patients are mainly in Blagoevgrad and there is one case in Bansko – a 16-year-old boy is infected.

However, the picture is quite different in reality, because children from nurseries and kindergartens also cough en masse. However, pediatricians don’t send parents to test children for whooping cough, they just prescribe antibiotics.

Our inspection showed that the tests for whooping cough are done in the laboratories, but they are not free, they cost 30 to 40 BGN. The doctors preferred not to panic the parents and said – well there is some virus and that’s it.

The officially registered cases in Blagoevgrad are 3 children under the age of 1, one is over one year old, two are between 5 and 9 years old and one is 16 years old.

Even if the disease is mistaken for a viral or upper respiratory tract infection, they are prescribed antibiotics – most often Klacid – and they recover, say the jeeps from Blagoevgrad. Parents don’t do research because no one guides them.

According to the capital’s doctors, the country is in an epidemiological situation, they warn parents to vaccinate their children if they do not have such a vaccine.
