“The Week” newspaper celebrated its 15th birthday with Maria Laleva and connoisseurs of the good word : RegNews.NET

Among connoisseurs of the good word, the Upper Oryakhiv newspaper “Sedmitsa” celebrated its 15th birthday. For the anniversary, the team of the weekly gathered friends, partners, reading citizens of Gornoryahov, who together strengthened the feeling of attitude towards the quality text and of a community created by it. This community was joined by an author from the universe – a special guest of the celebration was one of the most read modern Bulgarian authors, Maria Laleva.

Its publisher Dimitar Nikolov called the dream come true “The Week”.

15 years ago, the project was born by people who wanted to do journalism with a human face in their hometown. Some of them – such as the reporter Martin Georgiev, the photographer Plamen Ivanov, Teodosi Ivanov – the first system administrator, take their own path. Until today, the editor-in-chief of the publication is Elena Velkova.

Our mentor was Ivan Momakov. The newspaper was accepted. Here I see many friends and like-minded people, people who believe in you when you yourself have lost faith in yourself. Publishing a newspaper is a grueling process, and the biggest challenge is staying on the people’s side. I thank my colleagues for stopping me when I was in danger of flying in a certain direction, said Dimitar Nikolov about the beginning.

The “week” started on the eve of April 22 – World Book and Copyright Day. And because of this, the team chose to celebrate with a cause – instead of bringing gifts and flowers, the guests were invited to support the Children’s Department of the Municipal Library in Gorna Oryahovitsa. Because the attitude towards the book must be cultivated from an early age, and today’s young readers are our tomorrow’s leaders.

We thank the team that we have been working with since the beginning of the newspaper. Gorna Oryahovitsa is a reading city, with knowledgeable, intelligent people. Everyone is welcome in our common home – the Library. A Reading Marathon is currently underway. We have not yet summarized the data, but so far we have covered more than 500 readers in various events, said the chief librarian Svetla Garkova. Gharkova presented “The Week” with a collage with the chapter of its first issue and titles of articles written over the years for the Library.

For his part, Nikolov replenished the Municipal Library’s stock with a phototype edition of the Tarnovo Constitution and an album dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the Bulgarian Parliament.

The special gift for the birthday party and their guests was the meeting with Maria Laleva. The moderator of the conversation was Mila Milcheva, a good friend of “Sedmitsa” and a bright journalist, long-time editor-in-chief of “Yantra DNES” newspaper.

Either the soul writes a book or the ego. The reader unmistakably understands this. In Life on the Rocks, Maria says her favorite verb is share. It contains 3 verbs – love, trust, give. But the best thing is that it turns off I’m afraid. In this way, sharing and without fear, Maria Laleva leads us on the paths of our fears, hopes, loves, disappointments, on the demonic paths, on the archangelic paths, on our expectations, on our falls, on our ups and downs, Mila Milcheva introduced the guests to the world of Maria Laleva.

And he, Maria’s world, makes us look at ourselves. Because I am you, and everyone, and God.

For more than an hour, Maria Laleva answered questions and for nearly two hours she talked informally, signed autographs and took pictures with the guests.

Among them were the regional governor Ivaylo Zdravkov, the mayor of Lyaskovets Vasil Hristov, municipal councilors, public figures, patrons… Congratulatory addresses were sent by the mayor of Gorna Oryahovitsa Nikolay Rashkov and the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Media of the 49th National Assembly Toma Bikov.

Over the years, you have set a precedent for quality journalism and the creation of an information space that unites. You have proven time and time again that news is more than just information. I congratulate everyone who cares for the newspaper, giving it meaning and content with devotion to high journalistic standards, Bikov addressed “The Week”.

The evening was even more special with the musical performances of Vladimi Mulchinikolov – a tenth-grader in the “Music” profile of the “Vicho Gruncharov” SU with teacher Prof. Dr. Snezhana Vrangova, and Nadezhda Borisova – a former graduate and current teacher at the school, with the catering , came out from the skillful hands of the graduates of PGHT “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” in Gorna Oryahovitsa and with the exceptional wines of “Lege Artis”.
