More than 200 students will arrive in Burgas for the final round of the National Information Technology Olympiad

More than two hundred students and one hundred teachers from 32 cities in the country will arrive in Burgas on April 26 for the final round of the National Information Technology Olympiad – NOIT` 2024. It will be held from April 26 to 28 in the building of the Professional High School for Computer Programming and innovations (PGKPI), reported the municipal press center.
The official opening will be on April 26 at 18:00 in the Black Sea Hall of the International Congress Center. The test and defense of the projects will be on April 27 at the Professional High School for Computer Programming and Innovation, and the next day – April 28, the results will be announced at 10:00 a.m. at the Cultural Center “Sea Casino”.
A total of 42 students from Burgas reached the final round of the Olympiad. The students from the Academy of Science and Mathematics “Acad. Nikola Obreshkov” with the most Burgas projects ranked in the final, followed by the students from the “Alexander Georgiev – Kodjakafaliyata” Primary School, PGKPI and the “Konstantin Fotinov” Professional High School for Electrical Engineering and Electronics.
All ranked participants will compete in 7 disciplines and 3 age groups. The final round includes two stages – test and project defense. The overall grade is obtained after summing up the grades from the two stages, and the grades will be set by a National Jury, which also prepares the final ranking.
The successes of Burgas young specialists in the field of information technologies are the result of the targeted efforts and innovative programs of the municipal administration for the development of digital competences among adolescents, such as “Coding Kids Burgas”, School Telerik Academy, etc.
The National Information Technology Olympiad is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science with the support of the Regional Department of Education-Burgas, Burgas Municipality and the Professional High School of Computer Programming and Innovation.
