The Mayor of Haskovo Municipality, Stanislav Dechev, and his deputies, Dinko Tenev and Maria Valcheva, visited the children from the “8 March” kindergarten today. The occasion – the grand opening of the renovated building of the General Directorate No. 18 “8 March” on Shteryu Vaptsarov Street. Guests of the event were also the head of Haskovo RUO Silvia Kasabova, teachers and directors of kindergartens.

Mayor Stanislav Dechev thanked the children for the wonderful performance “Children’s Magic”, which started the holiday in the garden. “I am glad that this renovation took place and that your kindergarten now has modern and comfortable conditions for raising the children and for the work of the team. Once again, I have the opportunity to tell you that the kindergarten is actually all of you – the teachers and educators who raise our children with love. The municipality must ensure the conditions in which you can work to your full potential. I am glad that we were able to achieve this in the best possible way in the posi project,” said Stanislav Dechev.
He and the director of the “March 8” DG, Gergana Boychinova, cut the ribbon, and Father Nikola performed a water service.
The building was built in 1977. This is its first large-scale renovation. 167 children from a compulsory preparatory group are educated and brought up here. From today, they will officially hold classes in a modern and healthy environment. A new gymnasium has been built in the kindergarten, which allows year-round sports classes and games. The building has been renovated, the entire heating installation has been replaced, and its own photovoltaic system has been built. The reconstruction project was approved by a decision of the Council of Ministers, module “Construction of new buildings for nurseries and kindergartens, as well as additions, upgrades and reconstruction of existing ones”. The national funding is in the amount of BGN 600,000, the co-financing from the Haskovo Municipality is BGN 294,740.16. This is another kindergarten building that the municipality has been renovating in recent years. Now the buildings of three other gardens are to be modernized: No. 17 “Iglika”, No. 1 “General Skobelev” Street, No. 3 “Zornitsa”, No. 16 “Nightingale” Street, “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” No. 92-96.
