The Kapan ensemble in Razgrad invites its fans to a concert-performance “Folklore Easter”

On the eve of one of the brightest Christian holidays, the artists of the Kapan Ensemble invite their fans from Razgrad and the guests of the city to a concert-performance “Folklore Easter”, the formation announced.
The special greeting will be presented on April 25 in the hall of the Municipal Cultural Center in Razgrad. The performance will be with the participation of the piper Peyo Peev and the popular Thracian singer Vanya Valkova, who already have several very successful joint projects, said the director of the Kapan ensemble Svetoslav Stoychev.
Peyo Peev is a soloist of the Folk Music Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio and a teacher at the Academy of Music and Dance Art in Plovdiv. The Easter concert in Razgrad will feature an orchestral piece written by the harpist especially for the Kapan ensemble and his arrangements of songs by Vanya Valkova. The second part of the performance includes samples from the Kapan ethno-region in the ensemble’s rich repertoire, collected and enriched for almost 60 years, the ensemble’s management said.
April will be a month full of many events, the director of the Kapan Ensemble Svetoslav Stoychev said at a press conference at the National Press Club of BTA in Razgrad.
