The Director of the Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment (MBAL) “St. Petka” Dr. Iveta Naydenova told “Focus”that regarding the 104-year-old grandmother Sevda from the village of Vertop “no violence was committed” during the treatment and stay and from April 17 to 20 in the hospital. Dr. Naydenova added that the woman was admitted to the health facility with suspected kidney infection, tests were done and systems were turned on. She was accommodated in a room with another 73-year-old patient. The management of the hospital are categorical that “in view of the woman’s age, the skin is more sensitive, the blood vessels are more fragile, and these blue spots are observed during the placement of abacates. Dr. Iveta Naydenova also said that one of her arm was fixed because of the systems, the patient was fed as well as given water

Dr. Naydenova also specified that the elderly woman was admitted as a planned admission, and on the first day there really were no places in the ward. The next day, the patient was admitted to a ward, and her relatives were offered to have a companion stay with her.

Earlier today, it became clear, from a message to the media, that the Executive Agency “Medical Supervision” has appointed an extraordinary inspection in the case of the Vidin hospital. It starts today – April 23, and the Minister of Health and the public will be informed of the results of the inspection. after its completion, the agency states.
