18 parties and coalitions have submitted documents to participate in the 2 in 1 elections so far. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Central Election Commission, Rositsa Mateva, during the CEC’s regular briefing in connection with the preparation of the upcoming elections on June 9, 2024.
So far, ten parties and eight coalitions have submitted documents to participate in the upcoming elections. Of these, five parties and two coalitions are registered.
“Today at 12:00 p.m., the opportunity for voters who will vote outside the country to submit voting applications was activated,” Mateva said. According to her, over 150 applications have been submitted and confirmed for participation in both types of elections.
Later in the day, the members of the Commission will adopt a decision and register the others for whom documents have been submitted to GRAO that the signatures comply with the law.
“After 5:00 p.m., we will register those parties and coalitions that have submitted documents, but the signatures have not been checked, in case of incomplete registration, and after checking the signatures, a decision will be made to delete them if the signature is not correct, if no – the registration will remain”, she further explained.
