It is an extraordinary honor that this year 2 amazing sisters are taking the star stage! Two girls who glorified their names and our country at the highest level! Two girls who blew up the world with their performance are coming to present themselves to the Bulgarian audience.
These are the winners of the “Golden Clown” at the last circus festival in Monte Carlo – the magnificent KOLEV SISTERS! Their presence in Bulgaria seemed unthinkable this year, but with the extraordinary efforts of the organizers from the “Encho Keryazov” Foundation and with the support of the Presidential Institution, the performance of the two sisters will be a fact.
The Kolev sisters were born in Italy, in the family of an Italian woman and a Bulgarian man – also circus artists. The girls’ careers started when they were only 7 years old. At the beginning they performed a flying trapeze number, and a little later they started to build a hand-in-hand balance number, which required a lot of strength and concentration. They trained for 4 years and worked with three different teachers. In 2018 . go by the name of their father “KOLEV” and present themselves to the public in Paris.
After that, KOLEV sisters toured in several European countries – Germany (Ravensburger Weihnachtszirkus – The Great Christmas Circus – (Circus Krone Bau), France (Cirque du Noel Bouglione), Belgium (Circus Alexandre Bouglione), Russia (International Festival of Circus Nikulin), Hungary ( Capital Circus of Budapest), Denmark (Circus Arena) and also in the United States (Circus Sarasota), the Netherlands (Koninklijk Theater Carré) and Germany (Weltweihnachtscircus Stuttgart).
In the last three years they have been part of the Cirque du Soleil – Mystère program.
To date, they have participated in three international circus festivals: In 2019 at the Nikulin Circus Festival (Russia), where they won a gold award and an invitation to participate in the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, in 2020 at the Budapest International Circus Festival (Hungary ), where they take a silver distinction along with several special awards and finally, the icing on the cake – the 2024 Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival , where they blow up the audience and win the GOLDEN CLOWN!
In addition to their stellar performance, on the stage of “Night of the Stars” we will see a whole galaxy of star greats and winners of prestigious awards for the arts.
The home audience will witness unprecedented indoor stunts, loops and dangerous stunts on cross bikes. And the specially developed aviation model of the world-famous Daniel Gola will fly over everyone’s heads with skillful pirouettes.
We will enjoy graceful aerial acrobatics and raise the adrenaline with lots of motorbike noise. We will also dive into the world of magic with the Bulgarian illusionist – Starboy AYVON.
And because nothing is ordinary in “Night of the Stars”, every performance will be accompanied by live music. Two orchestras, an elegant ladies’ string trio and young Bulgarian performers will sound the show like never before.
