District Prosecutor’s Office – Dobrich brought to court two men – aged 23 and 30, who beat a man to death on the street just because he lightly pushed one of them.
D.D. (23 years) and K.P. (30 years old) are accused of murder, committed in a particularly painful way for the victim and with particular cruelty for hooligan motives. The two are accomplices in committing the heinous act.
The investigation into the case was started on October 21, 2022, after a 52-year-old man was found on a street in Dobrich in a helpless state. Despite the efforts of the doctors at the hospital where the man was taken, he died. The appointed medical examiner found that he was the victim of a serious criminal offence. Numerous injuries were found on his body, and especially on his head, which proved that he had been brutally beaten.

In the course of the investigation, evidence was collected about the participation of the two young men in the heinous crime.
It was established that on the night of October 20 to 21, they, together with other acquaintances, drank at each other’s home. Shortly after midnight, after they had already consumed a significant amount of alcohol, they left the apartment and headed to a neighborhood of Dobrich to buy drugs. They did not find it and, irritated, they went back to the 30-year-old’s home.
At that time, the 52-year-old man, who had also been treated, was walking home. Passing by the younger men, he inadvertently pushed one of them.

Then K.P. hit him hard in the face, with which he fell to the ground. The two started kicking him, mainly on the head. Some of the kicks hit the man’s chest and abdomen. After finishing the beating, they left him in a helpless state on the street and went home to K.P.’s home.
Security company employees spotted the beaten man around 3:00 a.m. He was immediately taken to the hospital in Dobrich, where he died.
The case against the two is to be scheduled for consideration in the Dobrich District Court. If found guilty, they could face sentences of 15 to 20 years in prison, life in prison, or life in prison without parole.
