Prof. Dimitar Rashkov presents an exhibition of drawings and small sculptures in the gallery in Lovech

An exhibition of Prof. Dimitar Rashkov on the occasion of his upcoming 70th anniversary is arranged in the Art Gallery “Prof. “Teofan Sokerov” in Lovech. Visitors can see over 30 small sculptures and about 70 drawings. These are his latest works, Valentin Uzunov, director of the gallery, told BTA.
“For me, these are works that carry a high artistic value, that charge and make us think about the depth of art, about the topics it touches on. These are parables, humor, a number of worthy things,” Uzunov pointed out.
According to him, Prof. Dimitar Rashkov is presenting a solo exhibition in Lovech for the first time, and the interest in it from visitors is great. The artist has also participated in the traditional “Duvari” plein airs organized by the hunting gallery.
Valentin Uzunov recalled that Prof. Rashkov was born in Karlovo. He graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia with a major in “Sculpture” in the class of Prof. Dimitar Daskalov. He was the chief artist of the municipality of Karlovo, as well as curator and later director of the city art gallery. Rashkov has over 60 solo and participant in many national and international general art exhibitions. He is the winner of a number of awards.
His works in Lovech can be viewed until May 2.
