One of the concepts concerns the creation of conditions and the provision of access to quality services in the field of health care in the Kyustendil region. The leading partner in it is the Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment “Dr. Nikola Vasiliev” – Kyustendil. The partners are the municipalities of Kyustendil, Nevestino and Treklyano, as well as the Ministry of Health. It is planned to improve the material and technical base of the medical facility. It concerns purchase of modern equipment for the provision of health services in the community: nuclear magnetic resonance and angiography, related to the diagnosis of cardiovascular and oncological diseases. The total value of the investment is BGN 3. Investments under the “Human Development” Program are also included resources’. The amount for these investments is BGN 500,000. The executive director of the hospital in Kyustendil, Dr. Alexander Velichkov, pointed out that the equipment planned for purchase is related to the diseases having the greatest social importance and leading to the greatest mortality – cardiovascular diseases and oncological diseases.
The second project proposal is “Social services for residential care in the Kyustendil region”. The leading partner is the Municipality of Kyustendil. The value is BGN 3,400,000. It is planned to build and equip a Center for residential care for adults with dementia and a Center for residential care for persons over working age without disabilities.
“Provision of modernized and accessible social services” is the third project. It includes construction and installation activities and the implementation of energy measures in the building of the polyclinic in the municipality of Kyustendil. The value is BGN 2,500,000. It is planned to train personnel from the Medical Center “Dr. Nikola Vasiliev AD, city of Kyustendil and to personnel from the Complex for social services for early prevention and prevention of socially significant diseases and post-hospital care in the home environment of people, incl. in remote areas of Kyustendil Municipality.
The last territorial investment discussed today is related to inclusive education and implementation of energy efficiency measures on the territory of “Dr. Petar Beron” Language High School – Kyustendil city. The following concepts will be discussed on April 26.
