They concreted a tree in Plovdiv. Do you like it? PICTURES

Yesterday was Earth Day. Accidentally or not – a tree turned out to be concreted on a Plovdiv boulevard. A resident of the city posted absurd footage showing the ugly sight. And instead of protecting nature, someone decided to destroy it. By concreting the trunk of the tree, it can no longer be watered, thus it will also begin to dry out.

“A new method of concreting trees! The place is Dunav Blvd., the southern sidewalk between “V. Levski” and “Tsar Boris III”, wrote a resident of Plovdiv.

The photos went around the social network. Most people have expressed their disapproval and are demanding action. Others didn’t see a problem with that, but rather wanted the sidewalks they walked on to be free from tree roots.

“Bai Gagno does whatever he wants, wherever he likes.”

“This people just freaked out! How smart you’d have to be to do that!’

“The roads full of potholes, they concrete the trees.”

“It’s okay, the roots will break out again, they will scratch the tiles on half the sidewalk, it will again be impassable for wheelchairs of disabled people and mothers, pensioners will still walk the streets, otherwise they will trip over tiles and rhizomes, fall and break their wrists and pelvises… And everything will still be NORMAL, don’t worry!”

“What about removing all the trees that are in your way? Can you give birth to that much with your bird brain? If the trees get in your way, it’s time to leave the planet!”

“When there’s concrete left and they’re wondering where to put it… Apparently they’ve decided this is the best place right now… And since there’s no control, there’s nothing stopping them from peeling it there.”
