Burgas and the old city of Bratislava will start a twinning procedure in the field of economy and tourism

Burgas Municipality will start a procedure for signing a cooperation agreement with the old town of Bratislava – Stare mesto. The proposal for the twinning of Burgas with the Slovak capital was supported today at a session of the Municipal Council.
The establishment of friendly relations and the signing of an agreement on cooperation in areas such as economy, tourism, social policy, etc. were previously discussed in detail and approved by the administrations of the two cities.
Between Burgas and Bratislava there are many similarities and corresponding potential for partnership, especially in the direction of establishing transport connections with great potential and deepening economic relations. Business representatives from the two cities also expressed interest in implementing common projects, the mayor of Burgas pointed out.
In May, a representative delegation from the central metropolitan municipality of Stare Mesto in Burgas will visit. It will include senior representatives of the administration. This is an excellent opportunity to sign the agreement, said the mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov.
