The National Chamber Dance Festival will be held from April 26 to 28 at the Youth Center in Haskovo. For the second year there will also be participants from abroad
550 participants have signed up for the dance forum, and for the first time, dancers with four teachers from the State Music and Ballet School “Ilia Nikolovski – Loui” – Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia will be guests.
There are 50 collectives in total, and 432 dances. There are dancers from 20 cities in the country, and for the first time they will be visiting from Yablanitsa and Knezha.
The festival has a competitive nature in four directions – Bulgarian folk dances, classical, characteristic and contemporary dances.
“We are honored to note that this year there is exceptional interest in the professional section. For the first time, the leading art schools in the country from Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Pleven, Ruse and Stara Zagora will compete on our stage,” announced the deputy. – the mayor of Haskovo, Maria Valcheva. “We are happy about the fact that there is an increased interest in the direction of “Bulgarian folk dances”, both among professionals and non-professionals,” said Galina Shtereva – choreographer and organizer of the festival from the Haskovo Youth Center.
