Middle European Class terminated its participation in the PP-DB coalition. This was announced by the party in a letter to the media.

It says:

“The decision of PP-DB to join forces with GERB and DPS proved that in this way they cannot oppose their vicious model. We of the Middle European Class, as a political party, have always been strict in our principles and consistent in our actions We believe that our values cannot be changed and joint work with this composition of GERB and DPS is impossible for us. Therefore, we cannot remain part of a union that allows working with corrupt representatives of GERB and DPS that serve only the business circles instead of serving the people and society.”

BNR Burgas asked the chairman of the party and Burgas MP Konstantin Bachiyski for a comment. He denied that the decision was a political divorce and clarified that Middle European Class has decided not to accept the invitation to continue its participation in the current coalition format for the upcoming elections and to leave the coalition with PP-DB.

“Our decision to support was based on our belief that it is important to work to achieve reforms and changes that are of essential importance for the future of Bulgaria and which will be in opposition to the previous vicious model of GERB and DPS”.

Bachiiski recalled how “We continue the change” was created.

A new executive council is coming up today, at which it will be decided how the party will participate in the upcoming parliamentary and European elections, Bachiiski stressed.

“Green Movement” also announced a few days ago that they are leaving the PP-DB coalition, Bachiiski explained that there are many formations with which they can talk, the Movement is one of them.

Baciiski stated:

We do not want the anti-Gerb vote to be diluted. It would make sense if the respective coalition has enough influence to pass the 4 percent barrier.

Regarding the new “Solidary Bulgaria” formation, the deputy commented that history will show whether it has a future.
