The awards of this year’s winners of the “Stars on the Radio” competition were presented this evening at a gala concert in the Concert Studio of Radio Blagoevgrad. Nearly 30 young performers in the field of classical, folk and popular music took to the stage.
Organizers of the event are BNR Radio Blagoevgrad and NHG “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” /former Thessalonica/ Blagoevgrad with the assistance of the Regional Department of Education and the Municipality of Blagoevgrad.
The competition is held every year in 3 sections – “Instrumentalists”, “Folklore” and “Popular music”.
This year, in the 13th edition of “Stars on the Radio”, the first prize in the folklore section went to Bozhidara Ilieva from Blagoevgrad.
The winner in the “Folklore” section receives a diploma and a medal, and a song produced by BNR – Radio Blagoevgrad.
The winners in the “Instrumentalists” section are Velislav Ivanov with tambourine and Elitsa Treziyska – piano.
The gala evening was opened by Rina Daleva, the director of Radio Blagoevgrad.
Blagoevgrad Deputy Mayor Stanislav Kimchev was also a guest at the event.
