The Middle European Class Party, with leader Konstantin Bachiyski, is leaving the PP-DB coalition, announced the SEC.
“Over the years, the Middle European Class has always opposed the vicious practices in the management model of GERB and DPS.
Our decision to support the creation of Continuing the Change in 2021, as well as the participation in the PP-DB coalition, was based on our belief that it is important to work to achieve reforms and changes that are essential for the future of Bulgaria and to be in opposition to the previous vicious model of GERB and DPS, writes BNT.
However, PP-DB’s subsequent decision to join forces with GERB and DPS proved that they could not thus oppose their vicious model. We of the Middle European Class, as a political party, have always been strict in our principles and consistent in our actions. We believe that our values cannot be changed and joint work with this composition of GERB and DPS is impossible for us. Therefore, we cannot remain part of a union that allows working with corrupt representatives of the political parties from GERB and DPS, who serve only the business circles, instead of serving the people and society,” the party’s position says.
The Middle European Class indicates that they continue to work against the GERB and DPS model.
Within the next few days, the leadership of the Middle European Class party will meet in a meeting to discuss and decide on the party’s participation in the upcoming early parliamentary and European Parliament elections.
Last week, the PP-DB coalition also left the Green Movement party.
