An underground cable line is damaged

The entire area around “Koprivshtitsa” Blvd. in Plovdiv turned into a disco tonight. The power went out three times, the first time just before 6 p.m., leaving hundreds in the dark for 45 minutes. People remained in the dark, as they had no connection with EVN and feared that the accident was major.

“We can neither prepare dinner nor wash ourselves. And it’s cold outside, we can’t even turn on the heating,” the victims complained.
“Soon it will be dark, and it’s cold, are we going to live in the 19th century? And when a person rings the emergency telephone of the energy company, listens for 15 minutes to all kinds of talk about new services, then they ask you for the number of the metering point to give signal, the mission is simply impossible,” explained Rosen Pavlov, who lives in the neighborhood.

Elektroraspradelenie-yug told “24 Chasa” that the accident was in an underground cable line and could not be defined as major.

“We are already working on its removal, but there is no way to specify a time when the power supply will be restored,” said the company’s spokesperson Krum Kosev.

After 45 minutes, power was restored to the area. “May it be forever,” people said to each other. But it wouldn’t. Shortly before 7 p.m., the power went out again, but after a few minutes it came back on.

“We just started preparing dinner and at 7:10 p.m. the lights went out again. This is a mockery,” readers scolded. After five minutes, the lights came on again, but people are on alert because they don’t know if they will go out again.
