Expect: Kiril Kirov in the series “Sports talents of Bulgaria” on Wednesday at 20:00 on BNT 3

Young, capable, intelligent, purposeful and with diverse interests – this is one of our most successful sports shooters of the new generation, who will prove himself on the big Olympic stage.

Kiril Kirov is 24 years old and already an Olympic champion, but from the Youth Games in Buenos Aires in 2018. Six years later, he will have the chance to fight for the medals already at the “big” Olympic Games in Paris.

Kirill earned a quota to participate in the French capital by landing on the podium at the World Airsoft Championship in Baku last season. The bronze from this championship is the biggest achievement for him and his coach Rumyana Apostolova so far, as the two have been working together since the beginning, when Kirov first entered the shooting range in his hometown of Plovdiv.

“Sports shooting is a hobby for me, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t treat it responsibly” – says the main character in another film from the “Sports Talents of Bulgaria” series, who adds that he is lucky that he doesn’t have to limited himself to only one thing in life that interests him.

Even as a student, Kiril Kirov decided that he wanted to study dentistry. He works systematically to achieve this and applied to the Medical University in Plovdiv, where he is currently a fifth-year student. However, his interests do not end there. As a child he went through several musical instruments, and subsequently his father turned him on to hunting. And he accepts this occupation as a responsibility, since the hunter is first of all a person who takes care of the forest and its inhabitants.

“Aim for the perfect to achieve the maximum” – says Kiril Kirov, for whom perfectionism is utopia, but we can strive for our maximum.
