The draft list of GERB for Blagoevgrad region is almost ready. The leader will once again be the chairman of the 49th NA Rosen Zhelyazkov, who has already confirmed that he wants to represent Blagoevgrad again.
In second place is the head of the NOI in Blagoevgrad, Iliyan Georgiev, and in third place is the MP from Petrich, Kostadin Stoykov. After him is the municipal leader of the party in Sandanski, Georgi Georgiev, and in fifth position is his colleague in Gotse Delchev, Nikola Jingarov, who had a birthday yesterday. The 6th place was assigned to Razlog municipal councilor Mario Terziev. The last place is traditionally occupied by Stefan Apostolov from Simitli.
According to Novakov, over 80% of the members of the draft list are familiar names from last year’s parliamentary elections, but there are also a few new ones – such as the IT specialist from Garmen Talip Chavdarov.
The members and sympathizers of GERB in Blagoevgrad will actually be faced with a dilemma for whom exactly to give their preferential vote, because among the candidate MPs is also the former chairman of the councilors from GERB in ObS Blagoevgrad Kiril Iliev. Not a single member of the coalition partner SDS is included in the list of GERB for the 50th National Assembly from Blagoevgrad Region.
The former deputy from GERB – Bansko in 3 parliaments, Alexander Matsurev, yesterday used his personal profile on Facebook to officially refuse to include his name in the list of candidate deputies from Pirinsko for the 50th National Assembly. “I want from now on, even before the start of the election campaign, to state that by my personal decision I am withdrawing my candidacy for the upcoming race for the 50th National Assembly as a candidate for deputy. The reason for this is prosaic – I believe that as a municipal councilor and municipal coordinator of PP GERB in the municipality of Bansko, I can currently be the most useful for the common goal – togetherness, peace and security!”, Matsurev wrote and quoted Martin Luther King: ” There comes a time when a man must take a stand which is neither safe, nor political, nor popular, but he must take it because his conscience tells him it is right.’
