Saharan dust is again over Bulgaria! PICTURES

Bad news for all drivers – Saharan dust has reached Bulgaria again, and cars will be one of the victims of the pollution.

This is also shown by photos from different parts of the country, which show vehicles stained by dust particles.

Citizens are alerting that dust has fallen with the rain in parts of Sofia, Yambol, the village of Kalchevo, Southeastern Bulgaria, and others, reports Meteo Bulgaria.

The page reports that particles from the desert are also passing in the sky over Eastern Bulgaria.

We recall that Greece was overtaken by huge amounts of dust from the Sahara. The whole country was covered with the particles of the desert. This natural phenomenon, which has colored the entire country orange-yellow, has significant effects on human health, mainly by degrading air quality.

At the end of last month, the natural phenomenon reached Bulgaria again, lingering for several days.

The transfer of Saharan dust is a phenomenon common to Bulgaria. In the spring months, the atmospheric circulation relatively often leads to entrainment of particles from the Sahara desert, which reach our country with south-southwest transport.

There was a strong dusting over Varna with Saharan dust in 2012, when the city was literally clouded by it. Then the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water explained that probably air currents brought the sands from another storm that broke out in the Sahara.
