The Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo through the “Traffic Organization, Parking and Garages” leased the “Zapad” bus station for the next two years
The contract between the municipal company and “Passenger Transport” enters into force on May 1, 2024.
The situation came about after the manager of the transport company, Ivelina Gaidarova, refused to carry out any more bus station activities on her private land. In order not to leave Veliko Tarnovo without a bus station, which serves routes to southern Bulgaria and intercity transportation in the district, the urgent option was to rent it while the Municipality built a new one. For now, the terrain has been selected, it is located between “Nikola Gabrovski” street, RIOSV – Veliko Tarnovo, and “Eko” gas station.
ODPG will pay BGN 6,000 with VAT monthly rent, for the convenience of citizens, the telephone number for information remains the same – 062 64 09 08.
After the two sides came to an agreement, cosmetic repairs have already begun at the bus station with minimal funds, and only for the materials. They are carried out by the unit of OP “Green Systems”. All premises will be repainted.
In the days until May 1, all carriers using the services of the “Zapad” bus station will be notified by the Municipality that it will not interrupt work.
