The Ministry of Internal Affairs convenes a national meeting after the holidays in connection with the upcoming elections and the countermeasures against vote trading. This was announced in Pazardzhik by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Kalin Stoyanov.
An interactive map will monitor in which districts votes are bought, Stoyanov said:
“It is about a system that online provides information about where and what signals have been submitted, how many there are, how they were processed, where there are forces and funds that we can transfer to other places, it will help us to take the necessary decisions,” explained Stoyanov.
Kalin Stoyanov commented on publications in some media that the arrest of the journalist Dimitar Stoyanov a few days ago for hooliganism and threatening with a weapon related to an investigation into his former brother-in-law.
“I have a sister, but she has been divorced since 2009 with the person in question, from then until now – 15 years, neither I nor any member of my family have any contact with him. I don’t know where he works, what he does, where he lives – this is not is my job and please stop speculating on this topic,” the minister said.
He stated that he did not know that he was investigated by Internal Security during the time of Stefan Bankov.
“I have no such information, apart from what became public knowledge in 2021 and subsequently discontinued,” he further stated.
Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov attended the swearing-in ceremony of 72 trainees from DG Border Police.
