Literary Days “Southern Spring” in Haskovo began with an exhibition dedicated to the 145th anniversary of Alexander Pascalev’s birth.

The exposition is also dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the “Alexander Pascalev” award. Haskovo municipality awards every year the high distinction for contribution to culture, art and literature. The prize was awarded for the first time in 2004. Its first winner posthumously was the poet Ivan Nikolov.

The winners of the “Alexander Paskalev” award and their heirs attended today the opening of the exhibition at the “Hristo Smirnenski” Regional Library. They shared their excitement at the moment of being awarded this distinction and told interesting facts about Alexander Paskalev’s family.

As we already wrote, the Literary Days “South Spring” Haskovo 2024 will be officially opened tonight. At 6 p.m. in front of the “Ivan Dimov” DKT, the fire of “South Spring” will be lit by Ivan Landzhev, recipient of the “Pegas” award for 2011. Immediately after the official opening of the literary festivals, there is the laureate evening of Ivan Landzhev and the meeting with Georgi Milkov, who presents his book “Stories from hand luggage”.
