Top managers from reputable companies in the field of outsourcing and the technology industry discussed in Burgas the latest trends and career opportunities for students in the sector. The event, which took place at the International Congress Center, is part of the national roadshow “The Road to Your Success” of the Association for Innovations, Business Services and Technologies (AIBEST) in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas, businesses, universities and schools from the city.

The meeting began with a round table with the participation of the mayor Dimitar Nikolov and representatives of the Municipality of Burgas, where the business environment in the city, its development and opportunities for mutual cooperation were discussed.

“Despite the momentary collapse and cooling of the technology market, I am convinced that very soon competent and qualified young people will be in demand again. That’s why the Municipality of Burgas puts a lot of effort into creating a good material base, conditions and competitiveness among young people so that they can develop. Before this meeting, we determined the deadlines for the construction of a new educational building for our digital high school. It will be hybrid with accommodation because there are many students from other places in the country studying with us. There will also be new laboratories that will assist in their better training. Our wish is that from next year there will be classes entirely in English, which will attract foreign students to Burgas,” said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.

He shared that he relies on AIBEST for this, who are also part of the management of the computer high school, because this is for the benefit of young people, who will find a reason to stay in Bulgaria, and others to return.

“We have such examples and experience in Burgas. We helped such families to return. We also assisted young people who came from Ukraine. They are permanently secured as local people, their children study here, go to different art schools, which improves competitiveness in the industry and gives more opportunities. We are grateful that Burgas is part of this AIBEST tour and I hope you will continue to look for us for joint projects”, added Mayor Nikolov.

“Burgas is a traditional stop of our national roadshow because we enjoy great support from the local government and educational institutions. We see that the city is constantly developing and we are happy to support this with initiatives aimed at developing the local ecosystem and strengthening the relationship with pupils and students and their career guidance. Burgas has established itself as a preferred destination among our members who wish to position teams outside of Sofia,” said Natalia Georgieva – executive director of AIBEST.

Immediately afterwards, the national roadshow “The road to your success” took place, where students and pupils from language high schools and schools where information technology is studied got acquainted with the development of the high-tech industry in our country and the career opportunities it offers. In addition to meetings with the top management of companies from the sector that have offices in Burgas, the representatives of some of the biggest leaders in the industry at the national level were also present. Useful advice on the path to success, career opportunities and current trends were presented by executives from the companies Pontica Solutions, EXL, Sutherland Bulgaria, DIGITALL, Accedia, Proxiad SEE, EPAM Systems Bulgaria EOOD.
