A guided talk will be held at the National Archaeological Museum on April 28, the museum team reports.

The talk is dedicated to the museum’s permanent exhibition, as well as the temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archeology 2023”, the organizers note.

The exhibition “Bulgarian Archeology 2023” of the National Archaeological Institute with a Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (NAIM-BAS) includes over 400 exhibits from 30 different types and chronologies of objects from prehistory to the Renaissance. The exhibition can be viewed until May 26. 23 museums participate in it with finds. Among the most impressive exhibits are prehistoric gold, marble and Spondylus shell ornaments from the Varna Necropolis and Yunatsi, an ornate anthropomorphic ceramic figure from Balei, a bone scepter from Provadia, stone capitals from Paunovo, a collective find of 76 coins from Apollonia, a bronze flute from Skutare, bronze figurine of Hermes (Mercury) from Tsile, medieval ornaments and costume elements from Luitsa, Kavlaklak (Shumensko) and Shirokovo (Rusensko), porcelain tea cups from China from the sunken ship “Urdoviza”. The exhibition includes posters with additional information.
