Five of the municipal commercial companies in Sliven reported good financial results from their activities in 2023. This was stated by the chairman of the local parliament, Dimitar Mitev, to journalists today. Together with his deputies, he held his usual press conference on the occasion of tomorrow’s session of the Municipal Council. The annual reports are part of the agenda items of the upcoming session. The for-profit companies are “DKC 1 – Sliven”, “DKC 2 – Sliven”, “Dental center 1 – Sliven”, “Municipal security and SOT – Sliven” and the Industrial Park. Their managers will receive from 2,500 to 5,000 BGN bonuses.
Among the submitted proposals, Mitev emphasized the amendment of the budget. It is expressed in the transfer of funds to separate funds in connection with costs for repairs, improvement of the road infrastructure, purchase of equipment and equipment for sports halls, schools, kindergartens, etc. activities.
Another highlight, according to him, is a change in part of the texts of two of the municipal ordinances. These are the Ordinance on public order and on the determination and administration of local fees and prices for services and granted rights on the territory of the municipality. In the first, the changes provide for reducing the speed of individual electric vehicles and determining the places where they can be driven, as well as higher fines for making noise. The amendment in the second is mostly routine, according to Chairman Mitev. It primarily concerns the refinement of taxi services and the updating of service prices for the placement of advertising and informational elements, the provision of sports facilities and sports facilities and services provided on the territory of the Tuida Fortress.
The municipal councilors will also vote on the budget forecast for the period 2025-2027 of receipts from local revenues and expenditures for local activities.
The local parliament will also vote on the report on the implementation of last year’s program for the development of community centers, the report of the municipal program for child protection for 2023. This year’s program of the municipality for child protection is also on the agenda.
Usually, the session will also decide on proposals for management and disposal of municipal property, allocation of funds and assistance to citizens.
One looms to be the extra point. It refers to the authorization of a representative of the Municipality of Sliven to participate in the General Assembly of the Water and Sewerage Association.
