Second place for a student from “Ivan Vazov” PMG at the “IT Znaiko” national competition (VIDEO)

Galin Vassilev from 9A grade at the “Ivan Vazov” Science and Mathematics High School – Dobrich won second place at the IT Znaiko national information technology competition in the “Web” category. The national round was held at the end of last week in Pamporovo. Galin Vasilev participates for the sixth year in a row, always being among the best. There are four first places and two second places in the national “IT Knower” competition.

The competition goes through municipal, regional and national rounds and is an alternative to the national Olympiad in information technologies, explained Svetlana Vasileva – teacher of informatics at PMG “Ivan Vazov” for “Dobrudzha” media group.

In the Web category, participants had two hours to create a site. Galin Vassilev’s is dedicated to artificial intelligence – its good and bad sides.

Galin Vasilev made his first website in the fifth grade and has been involved in web design ever since.

This field of information technology attracts me because there is a lot of creativity in it, he explained.

In addition to web design, he is also interested in cyber security and plans to become a professional in this field.
