The Bulgarian delegation in China, which included the vice-rector for educational and information activities Prof. Neli Grozeva and Assoc. Dr. Blaga Stoikova from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Thrace, participated in a series of official meetings with a visit to the International Chinese Educational Foundation language, whose main activity is the management of the Confucius Institute.
They were welcomed by the management of the foundation. During the meeting, the hosts emphasized that it is extremely important for their organization to welcome a Bulgarian delegation on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Bulgaria. It is also remembered that seven of the first students admitted to the Beijing University of Foreign Languages were from Bulgaria, and this happened only two years after the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Prof. Neli Grozeva shared that all the participants, after the fruitful discussion, united unanimously around the opinion that the shortest way for cultural and scientific exchange between two peoples is the study of their languages and culture.
