From tomorrow until May 16, Milcho Talev’s solo exhibition will be presented. Varna.

About the artist’s work, Prof. Ivan Marazov says: “With Milcho Talev, the pictorial amalgam is not “poured”, but is built. That is why the composition of the picture is always strict, not to say – harsh. But the geometric logic in the canvas’s organization does not disturb the sense of organic pulse in the rhythm of the color spots. It is not easy to achieve this effect of internal opposition between the rational and the sensual, between the regular and the accidental. The struggle between these oppositions evokes images, creates a fable, which gives the quality of ‘figurality’ to these otherwise non-figurative pictures.”

In this exhibition, the audience will enjoy a collection of abstract landscapes created with a clean, soft, pastel palette. The themes gravitate around the spaces around us, around the environment we exist in. This environment, physically visible and plastic, is at the same time ethereal, floating, elusive. The landscapes that we will find in Talev’s paintings are only landscapes at first glance are states – of rest, of oblivion, of nostalgia, of contemplation, of self-absorption. This is perhaps the most characteristic of the Burgas artist’s paintings, that they are like a revelation, a story told in a whisper – the story of landscapes, forgotten somewhere in the secret corners of our souls.

We are waiting for you at the opening of the exhibition with the participation of the author on April 25 at 18:30 in the hall of the Largo Gallery, 8 Han Krum Street, Varna.
