A beloved teacher of generations of high school students in Haskovo has left us

Teresa Andonova – the beloved teacher of generations from the Language High School in Haskovo – has passed away.

She began her work experience in 1970 and was among the first teachers who started the long-established tradition of studying European languages ​​in Haskovo.

After graduating from German Philology at SU “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Teresa Andonova has been appointed to teach in the experimental first grade with intensive training in German. After the establishment of the German Language School in 1971, he became a leading teacher, followed by others.

In the years during which she worked only at the Language High School, Teresa Andonova trained hundreds of students of different generations. She has a bright social activity. In 2005, she was awarded the prestigious “Neofite Rilski” award, and in 2021 she was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Haskovo.

The pilgrimage is on April 26 – Friday, between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Central Cemetery Park in Haskovo. Burial is at Kenana Cemetery Park.
