A society of Plovdiv artists presents an exhibition “Palette Europe” by the artist living in France, Alexander Hristev. The event is on April 26, at 6:00 p.m. in the “Plovdiv” gallery in the building of the Municipal Council – Plovdiv at 20 “Avksentiy Veleshki” street.

Alexander Hristev was born on September 6, 1976 in Paris. His father received French citizenship on his mother’s side and settled in Paris in 1965. Alexander’s childhood was carefree in a Franco-Bulgarian atmosphere. During the holidays, he spent happy days with his grandmother in Plovdiv, Koprivshtitsa and along the Black Sea, which left lasting traces in the little boy’s soul. Alexander’s love for drawing awakened from early childhood.

He inherited his father’s talent, and in his home he is surrounded by albums with reproductions and books with biographies of famous artists. At the age of 6, he already attended the first drawing courses at a school of fine arts at the City Hall of the 6th arrondissement of Paris.

Subsequently, and at the request of his parents, he studied at renowned private schools in Paris, which Alexander remembers with unflattering feelings. He doesn’t resist, he goes to school, but he studies minimally, constantly drawing during class, and his notebooks are filled with drawings instead of the lessons taught. He continues drawing courses, which according to his parents are an additional activity, and for him – happy hours in which he chooses his path, defending it with great persistence and overcoming difficulties.

After college, with the consent of his parents, Alexander entered a private school where he had the opportunity to follow his desire to continue with drawing and painting courses. Thus he attended Ecole PENINENGEN, Paris, Ecole de Vaux AR, Paris, Atelier de la Ville de Paris, Paris and Atelier La grand CHAUMERT, Paris.

In 1999 Alexander was admitted to the renowned school of artistic and technical drawing SORNASParis, founded in 1880.

Alexander Hristev has several solo exhibitions: in 2014 in the Town Hall of Saint Mande, Paris, in 2017. – MANEV Gallery, Chirpan, 2018 – Des AR GRFIK Gallery, Paris. He also participated in a number of group exhibitions, including the “Salon for Young Artists” 2015, 2017 and the Art Exhibition of the International Club LYON, Paris.

The exhibition can be viewed until May 12.
