The municipal council in Sliven held its regular meeting today. 55 items were included in the agenda of the session.

Among those approved were the annual financial statements of some of the municipal commercial companies. These are “DTC 1 – Sliven”, “DTC 2 – Sliven”, “Dental center 1 – Sliven”, “Municipal security and SOT – Sliven” and the Industrial Park.

The budget update was also voted and discussed. It envisages the transfer of funds under separate headings in connection with the costs of repairs, improvement of the road infrastructure, purchase of equipment and equipment for sports halls, schools, kindergartens, etc. activities.

Two of the municipal ordinances also received support. One concerns public order, the other – the determination and administration of local fees and prices for services and granted rights on the territory of the municipality. In the first, the changes provide for reducing the speed of individual electric vehicles and determining the places where they can be driven, as well as higher fines for making noise. The amendment in the second refers primarily to specifying the activity of taxi transport and updating the prices of services for placing advertising and informational elements, providing sports bases and sports facilities and services provided on the territory of the Tuida Fortress.

The municipal councilors also voted on the budget forecast for the period 2025-2027 of receipts from local revenues and expenditures for local activities.

The report on the implementation of last year’s program for the development of community centers, the report of the municipal program for child protection for 2023, as well as this year’s program of the municipality for child protection, were also approved.

Proposals for management and disposal of municipal property, allocation of funds and assistance to citizens, were also considered and voted on today.

Unanimous consent was given to authorize a representative of the Municipality of Sliven to participate in the General Assembly of the Water and Sewerage Association. It is scheduled for April 30.
