The mayor of Yambol Valentin Revanski met with Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov

--

The highlight of the conversation was the construction of the Bulgarian military base in Kabile. Mayor Revanski emphasized that the implementation of the project is taking a long time, but it is extremely important for our national security and the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the country. Although the project has been identified as a priority for the government of Nikolay Denkov, so far not a single lev has been given for its implementation.

The Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov presented the Ministry of Defense’s plans for the construction of the new Bulgarian base in Kabile. The benefits for the local community were highlighted, including the creation of many new jobs without the reduction of Bulgarian servicemen.

The Minister of Finance Ludmila Petkova is committed to providing the funds for the construction of the base.

The mayor Valentin Revanski also reported that the additional financing of the equipment for the hospital in Yambol, promised by the “Denkov” government, has also not been fulfilled. Other important topics for Yambol were discussed at the meeting, including the accelerated construction of a section of the city’s ring road by the API, transfer of 2 liberated military properties in the city to the municipality and state support for the construction of a botanical garden in the city.

The ministers committed to the fastest possible cooperation and resolution of the mentioned issues. We are ready to fully assist the Cabinet on priority topics that directly concern the improvement of the conditions and quality of life of Bulgarian citizens, emphasized the representatives of the government.
