Day of professions – study in Plovdiv

The national initiative “Day of Professions” provides an opportunity for better professional development for young people. The host of the Plovdiv edition is the Medical University – Plovdiv. The event has already been held in four cities, and on April 27 (Saturday) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. it will take place in the Auditorium Complex of the MU.

The initiative is carried out by the Rotaract and Interact clubs in Bulgaria with the aim of better career guidance and sufficient information for choosing a profession. Several professional areas such as medicine, law, economics and finance, psychology, computer science will be presented during the forum.

Among the speakers will be Dr. Valentin Ivanov, who is closely specialized in ultrasound and surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the mammary gland. He studied with leading specialists in Madrid, Bucharest and Ljubljana, and for 2021 and 2022 alone he has certified participation in over 60 courses. He is chief assistant. in the Medical Simulation Training Center, also works in the Surgery Clinic of UMBAL “Kaspella”. Dr. Valentin Ivanov will lead the “Medicine” panel. Dr. Mirela Ruseva – endocrinologist, and Victoria Karamileva – trainee doctor will also participate in this panel.

From MU-Plovdiv (Dental Medicine/Pharmacy panel) dental medicine students Mihail Lyutsov and pharmacy students Alexandra Ivanova and Vanina Kichukova will also take part.

In the area of ​​finance, the speaker will be Anna Savova, who is currently the manager of partnerships in the “Youth” segment of DSK Bank.

Nikolay Zhekov will introduce the participants to the field of information technologies. He has many years of experience in software engineering.

In addition to professional areas, several workshops will be held during the event, which will help visitors to understand which profession suits them best, how to be financially stable and independent, how to improve their CV and be more confident when job interview.

Workshop on: “Fine You – how to be FINE financially at 30 and what you need to do now?” will be led by Boyan Kelchev, who has many years of experience in the IT field as a sales expert and expert manager, and is currently a project manager and corporate trainer at Voca academy. In 2019, Boyan co-founded POYPE with the goal of bringing people and merchants into the use of Bitcoin Cash in everyday life and creating a local crypto ecosystem to achieve greater financial autonomy for everyone.

The first edition of “Professions Day” was held in 2016, with MU-Plovdiv being the host several times.
