After a four-year hiatus, the 28th edition of the cultural event begins today. It will be held over two festival days and with a rich accompanying program. The little talents will be measured in three sections: “Music”, “Modern dances” and “Fine art”. Nearly 500 children will walk their patent leather shoes on the Berkov stage.

In the “Music” section, vocal groups and individual performers, divided into four age groups, will compete. They will participate with two fun songs, one of which must be by a Bulgarian author. The artists from abroad participate with two songs from their nationality. Guests from Romania and Serbia are expected. In the section “Modern dances” there are two age groups – up to 12 years old and up to 16 years old. There are no age restrictions for individual performances Little artists draw on the theme “My childhood dream”.

In all sections, the jury is professional. In each section, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are awarded – statuettes and subject prizes. Incentive prizes are also awarded.

The opening of the festival is today at 11:00 on the square in Berkovitsa. From 12:00, the competition program in the “Music” section begins. The evening for young and old will be the premiere of the theatrical production “Puss in Boots” by the children’s theater studio “Nikolay Fol” at the Berkovo community center, directed by Dafina Stefanova. The awards will be presented at the gala concert on April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the large hall of the “Ivan Vazov – 1872” National Theater. A fire show and dawn will give a beautiful finale to the celebration. Organizers of the festival are “Ivan Vazov – 1872” – town of Berkovitsa and Municipality of Berkovitsa.
