200 competitors from 26 teams participated, divided into 13 age groups from 10 to 70 years. They are from Varna, Sofia, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Ruse, Sevlievo, Teteven, Troyan, Pleven, Lovech.
The terrain is forested, rugged, difficult to pass. Skills required are very good map reading and compass handling.
The top three individual competitors in each age group will receive medals. The team ranking is again up to third place, the winner will become the winner of the “Lovech” cup.
The award ceremony is on April 28 at 1:30 p.m. in Presiaka.
The competition is organized by the association “Orienteering Club” – Lovech, it is included in the sports calendar of the Bulgarian Federation of Orienteering and in the sports calendar of the Municipality of Lovech. The manager is Mihail Masarlov, chairman of the management board of the association.
The last such competition was held in 2017.
