Attention! Boom of acute respiratory diseases in Vratsa
15 cases of acute respiratory diseases were registered in Vratsa during the past week, according to the data of the Regional Health Inspectorate.
These are mild infectious diseases that have the characteristic symptoms of inflammation of the respiratory tract. They are caused by various viruses: adenoviruses, coronaviruses, reoviruses, rhinoviruses, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza viruses, etc.
Symptoms vary according to the cause and can be runny nose, laryngitis, inflammation of the lymph nodes, conjunctivitis, bronchitis, and in infants, pneumonia.
As reported by the BulNews agency, there is a second confirmed case of whooping cough. Samples from 4 other patients are pending.
