The replacement of the street lighting of the alleys in the inter-block space in the “Klutsokhor” district continues. Up to now, more than 90 percent of the cable underground network and almost all the foundations for 150 new poles have been built. A total of 177 modern energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures will be installed. The installation of the pole network and lighting fixtures is pending, and by the end of June the system will be fully ready and put into operation.
The existing lighting fixtures within the scope of the project will be phased out and dismantled after the complete construction and commissioning of the new lighting network in the area. So far, 20 old lighting fixtures have been dismantled.
The “Municipal Infrastructure” Directorate reports that the sidewalks in the excavation areas are also being restored in a timely manner. The Municipality of Sliven calls on citizens to be patient, as the construction and assembly activities are aimed at achieving better and more complete lighting and improving the comfort of living in the urban environment.
