The final stage of the Educational Program “Judiciary – informed choice and civil trust” was held in the Administrative Court – Smolyan. Open courts and prosecutor’s offices”. A simulation trial was played by students from the 10th grade at the First Secondary School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” – Smolyan, who took on the role of judges, prosecutors, lawyers. The theme of the reenactment is based on the Road Traffic Act and is tailored to the age of the children who are about to obtain their driving licenses. This year, the case study is a joint authorship of the mentors, who are acting judges, prosecutors, lawyers and legal advisors. With great interest, students rehearsed roles and studied rules of procedural behavior for a month. The goal of the judicial reconstruction is for the children to make their own decisions and take responsibility for them, it was achieved after the district and administrative courts examined the case at two instances today and issued reasoned decisions. The event was attended by representatives of the legal community, the executive branch, education, parents and the media. The deep interest in the simulation process and the cooperation between the institutions give confidence that the efforts made by the court’s management in relation to increasing the legal culture of the young generation are effective and lead to mutual satisfaction and pride.
