Ruined harvest and conspiracy theories after the ice storm in Starozagorsko

Yesterday’s hail caused damage to fruit trees and vegetable gardens in the villages around Chirpan and Stara Zagora, a reporter reported to “Focus”. People on social media are complaining that their plantations are ruined.

The greatest damage is in the Chirpan villages of Samuilovo, Zetivovo, Gita and Svoboda. There the hail was the size of a walnut. In Starozagorsko, hailstones also hit, but with smaller sizes – the size of a bean. Residents in the area heard the noise of the anti-hail missiles that were fired in the Stara Zagora area, but nevertheless claim that they did not stop the hail.

AM “Trakia” also turned white from the fallen hail. There will be stopped cars in the area of ​​the turnoff for Stara Zagora and Chirpan, as traffic was very difficult, even impossible, due to reduced visibility.

Posts and videos from yesterday’s “apocalypse”, as commentators call it, are pouring in on social networks. They fall into two groups – one saying we deserve our fate because of the way we treat nature, and the other believing in various conspiracy theories about manipulating the weather and causing natural disasters.

Nemožachi”, commented some.

“The purpose of this insanity is through HAARP to destroy the future harvest and livelihood of the people”, “Strange, before I cracked I heard a low flying plane above the clouds coincidence or artificial storm?!” – around this idea people who believe in the conspiracy are united.

It is expected that later today there will be information about the exact volume of the ruined crop.
