NDF “13 centuries Bulgaria” supported the project “Archaeworld – on the path of the greats”

The National Endowment Fund (NDF) “13 Centuries Bulgaria” supported the project “Archaeosvyat – on the path of the greats”, announced the team of the fund. In the hall “Prof. Vasil Gerov” of the NDF “13 Centuries Bulgaria”, the screening of the documentary film “Rezos” took place under the project “Archaeoworld – on the path of the greats”. The film chronologically traces the construction of an ancient Thracian ship and its voyages. The series, which is the work of director Atanas Dimitrov, includes two more films under the title “Palestine” and “Archaeological Diary – Golden”.

“Archaeosvyat – on the path of the great” is the first Bulgarian professional project of experimental marine and field archaeology. This scientific discipline is the reliable modern method of reproducing and popularizing the past.

The film was realized by the FC “Proventus” EOOD team with the idea of ​​reviving in an authentic form historical segments of culture – mythology, epic, drama-theatre, music, dance, military work, life and crafts, part of the experience and traditions of sea ​​and river navigation on our lands. It examines written and visual sources and artefacts over a vast span of time – from the mid-fourth millennium BC. to the 12th century AD, as well as the contribution of the Bulgarians, who left lasting traces in world archeology and history from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. /PV/
