--

BECA and Magnum Photos organize a second workshop with documentary photographer Rafal Milach.

The event will take place in the period July 19 – 21 in “BECA Center of Visual Storytelling” (57 “Vasil Levski” Blvd.). The event is part of the series of workshops that photography academy BECA started after announcing its partnership with the world-famous agency Magnum Photos.

For the first time, the former chairman of the agency, Olivia Arthur, came to Bulgaria, who held a three-day workshop on “Visual Storytelling”, and the training generated huge international interest.

The photography workshop will again this year focus on the ability of authors to realize their projects through multiple media such as photography, conceptual art, books, video and exhibitions.

With his many years of experience as a visual artist and photographer, Rafal Milah will provide useful knowledge and practical guidance to the participants. In recent decades, he has been working on long-term projects in Eastern Europe, exploring the tension between society and power structures. Rafal presents these subjects in exhibitions and photography books all over the world.

IN the workshop 12 participants will have the opportunity to participate. The course is suitable for both advanced photographers looking for advice in the final stages of their projects, as well as beginners just starting their photography series. Each participant will have the opportunity to receive complex feedback and upgrade their author’s handwriting.
