On April 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the municipal and regional competition “Protection in the event of disasters, fires and emergency situations” Smolyan – 2024 will be held in RDPBZN-Smolyan.
Participation in the student competition is team-based. The participants are 13-14 years old. Each team consists of four competitors.
The competition includes a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is a test of the acquired theoretical knowledge from I to VII classes through an individual test in which all competitors participate. The questions in the test are grouped into the following sections: Natural disasters; Industrial accidents and catastrophes; Individual and collective remedies; Fire safety; Early warning signals and notification of the population; First aid.
The practical part is a test of the acquired skills and habits of defense through competitive games in which three of the team’s competitors take part (the fourth is a reserve).
The practical part of the competition takes place in study centers on topics and study questions.
BCHK – Smolyan will take part with “First Aid” demonstrations.
The team ranked first at the regional level will take part in the national competition, which will be held in Veliko Tarnov at the end of June 2024.
