More: In the care of children: The state peeled off from the “average 3”

The “Notebook” monitoring report investigates what is happening in policies related to the topic of child development and child welfare. We have explored 9 areas this year – Welfare, Family environment and alternative care, Protection from all forms of violence, Justice, Early childhood development, Education, Health, Sport, culture and leisure and Child participation. In all these areas, a huge amount of material has been accumulated, many expert opinions, many answers from the institutions, and on their basis this large report has been formed. It provides a reasoned presentation of what is happening in the individual areas, comes out with conclusions and, of course, with recommendations for improvement.

This is indeed a very large work, over 40 authors have participated in the formation of this report. We have 3,200 respondents from all over the country, children and parents, who also answered questions on separate topics. 25 responses from institutions under the Law on Access to Public Information and a huge array from the National Statistical Institute (NSI). A lot of effort has gone into this report and it is our hope that it will be taken into account. It helps institutions and citizens so that things become better.

But there needs to be continuity in policies, stable governance and what was started by this regular government to be continued regardless of the political color of the government.”
