The artists of the Kapan Ensemble presented a colorful folklore bundle of music, song and dance for Easter

On the eve of one of the brightest Christian holidays, the Kapan ensemble offered its greetings to the residents and guests of Razgrad with a concert-performance “Folklore Easter”.

Friends and admirers of the artists wildly applauded in the hall of the Municipal Cultural Center the performances of the dancers, musicians and singers of the formation. The first part of the performance included orthodox, works from the folklore treasury of the Kapan ethnoregion, as well as samples from various ethnographic areas of the country in the rich repertoire of the ensemble, collected and enriched for almost 60 years.

The Easter concert was with the special participation of the best gadular in our country, Peyo Peev, and the popular Thracian singer with Dobruja roots, Vanya Valkova. On the stage, an orchestral piece written by the piper especially for the Kapan ensemble and his arrangements of songs by Vanya Valkova sounded.

The artists received colored baskets from Razgrad Mayor Dobrin Dobrev, People’s Representative Antoaneta Tsoneva, “Abritus” Dance Club, “Slanchev Chach” community center – Ostrovche village, “Ekip 7” village and from the Complex of family-type accommodation centers for children without disabilities.

The busy month of April for the Kapan ensemble will end on Sunday /April 28/. For the second year in a row, the artists will be part of the cultural program of the Tenth edition of the “Bulgarian Seed” festival in Sevlievo.
