Municipal councilors from the BSP were angry with the Waterworks because of an unpaved street in “Slaveykov”, they send a complaint to the minister : Black Sea Lighthouse

The municipal councilors from the BSP -Chanko Mirchev, Stanimir Baev and the member of the regional leadership of the party Nikolay Tishev together with the youth leader of the party Vasil Ivanov jumped against the long-term repair of the Burgas Waterworks on a street in the Slaveykov district. Tishev lives in the area and is a direct victim, in the neighborhood around block 65 a petition against the suspended renovation has started.

It is part of the integrated water cycle, it is currently in some phase, as no surface has been laid and the street has not been asphalted. Its inhabitants have been breathing dust for months, there are shafts that are unsafe.
“Our criticisms are towards VK, as the contracting authority, the institutions are passing the balls, but the problem remains unsolved,” said the red activists.

The SMPs have been suspended for a month and a half. Dust is breathed in the summer, mud and potholes in the winter, conditions are created for road accidents. “The signals have been there for more than a year. We had a meeting with the director of the Osvobozhdenie CAU Todor Kolev, he has written hundreds of letters to VK and other institutions. There is no solution!”, declared Nikolay Tishev.

From January 2, in a letter to Kolev, the Water and Sewerage Authority admits that there is a delay in the project and that the SMRs have been stopped, stating that the street pavements will be maintained with an appropriate fraction. Nothing like that happens. They promise that the repairs will continue from the beginning of this year, when the home diversions and their inclusion to the new routes must be built. Only after that will it be asphalted. Until then, it should be maintained with an appropriate fraction. “It’s already May, and there is no such repair,” said Tishev. He also spoke with the manager of the Burgas Waterworks, Tsvetan Mirchev, who promised him a meeting with the municipal councilors, but at one point he stopped picking up the phone.

“Please exercise your powers as the principal of the waterworks and assist until the repair is restored,” the two councilors – Stanimir Baev and Chanko Mirchev – call on the minister.

The situation was similar in the neighborhoods of Dolno Ezerovo and Lozovo, where the subcontractor – consortium “Alfa” did not finish the site for months. Three resident protests followed.

Now that it’s finished, there are legitimate concerns about shoddy repairs because flooding has started. However, the object still does not have a signed implementation document and it is clear that there will be corrections.

The repair work should be continued there, but for a year and three months this is not happening. The municipality is ready, but it will be excavated again afterwards.
