Municipal councilors from BSP-Burgas will send a signal to the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works because of the plumbing repairs in the village of “Slaveykov”. Residents of the complex have contacted the councilors about the problem and describe the horror they have been put in by the company. In the letter to the minister, the municipal councilors explain that for a year and a half people have been forced to live in the terrible conditions of dug-up streets, dust and mud.
“The renovation has already stopped. There is no bulk fraction, which was promised by VV. There are also unsecured shafts. People have been reporting these irregularities to us for a year and a half. The first thing we did was to file a report with Todor Kolev, director of the TSA Osvobozhdenie. He immediately got involved with the problem and sent hundreds of letters to the Waterworks and other institutions, but there is no solution”, explained Nikolay Tishev.
VV have responded to the letters of the director of TSA “Osvobozhdenie” Todor Kolev, explaining that there is indeed a delay in the construction and installation works, which they have stopped for the time being. The company promises that the street surfaces that have not been restored and are still excavated will be filled with fraction.
“In practice, from the U-shaped intersection on Yanko Komitov Street to the Rompetrol gas station, it is actually one level. The situation is the same next to the Moryache kindergarten and blocks 25, 26, 27 and 28 in the complex. It was excavated and large stones were thrown. People only want a fraction to be filled in the streets so they don’t breathe dust and walk in the mud when it rains. There are even unsecured manholes on the streets”, Tishev added.
In their letter dated January 2, the Water and Sewerage Department undertook to carry out the final stage of this repair by connecting the site sewers of the adjacent blocks, after which the street surface will be restored. Until then, it will be maintained with a faction.
“Nothing like this has happened until now. That’s why I contacted the Director of Water and Sewerage, Tsvetan Mirchev, and we agreed to have a meeting with our municipal councilors so that we could solve the problem. On the next call, he stopped answering my phone and the meeting did not take place. Therefore, we will send a signal to the Minister of Regional Development in the hope that he will take the appropriate measures”, said Tishev.
People from the “Dolno Ezerovo” and “Lozovo” neighborhoods are also dissatisfied with the repair of the Burgas Waterworks. While it was running, the residents protested several times. Although the streets are now asphalted, the problems continue. In rainy weather, they turn into rivers.
“During the repair itself, we signaled the plumbing that problems would arise after it, because the manholes were not properly positioned. They were not done well and the slopes and material used during the renovation was not of good quality. They told us that we do not understand anything and are not technical persons. Here, after the completion of the repair, all the problems we signaled are already on the face. We already have flooded streets, collapsed asphalt, potholes. Grass even started sprouting from the asphalt itself,” explained Vasil, who lives in the “Dolno Ezerovo” neighborhood. He added that the repair was not considered completed and they will keep the Waterworks company correcting its mistakes. If they are not heard, the people of both neighborhoods will once again take to the streets to express their displeasure.
