The Borusan quartet from Turkey will close the Konstantin Iliev Chamber Music Week in Dobrich with a concert tonight.
The musicians are visiting Dobrich at the invitation of the conductor of the Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra – Dobrich maestro Arto Chifchiyan. The musicians Esen Kivrak – violin, Nilai Sanchar – violin, Efdal Altun – viola and Nil Kokamangil – cello play in the quartet.
They have selected for connoisseurs of chamber music String Quartet No. 3, Op. 41, in A major by the composer Robert Schumann and two works to the music of Felix Mendelssohn. The audience will hear “Capriccio” No. 3, Op. 81, E minor and String Quartet No. 6, Op. 80, F minor.
This year’s Chamber Music Week is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Konstantin Iliev and was held in Dobrich over four evenings.
In the previous evenings, concerts were performed by the Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra – Dobrich with conductor Maestro Arto Chifchiyan, a trio consisting of Prof. Georgita Boyadzhieva-Nikolova – cello, Dr. Rosen Idealov – clarinet, and Vladimir Valchev – piano. During the Chamber Music Week, Anna Karadimitrova – soprano, and Bozhena Ivanova – piano from the Ruse State Opera presented to the audience arias and songs from musicals, as well as compositions by Pancho Vladigerov.
