“Ivan Vazov” primary school in Smolyan celebrated its patron saint’s day today. “Language sacred to my ancestors…” performed by Siyana Foteva, sounded like a bow to the purest and most sonorous speech immortalized by the master of words, Ivan Vazov. The song “Where is Bulgaria” performed by the group “Sladkopini Chuuligi” was played.

The director of the school, Rositsa Lakudova, welcomed teachers, parents, students, former teachers and guests.

A festive carnival followed, and it began with the song “Bulgarka”. The school carnival – the most colorful and smile-filled event of the festive program to mark the 45th anniversary of Ivan Vazov Primary School. It included popular characters from children’s stories and favorite films, superheroes from comic books and a whole galaxy of fantastical creatures. The fairy-tale characters showed how colorful and cheerful the children’s world is and how little a person needs to put a smile on his face.

The carnival ended with a flash mob with a dance of hope, under the title “I am the future! Give me a way!”, in which more than 100 children participated.

And the biggest surprise for everyone was the musical greeting of the young teacher Tsvetan Kamenarski – head of the computer room, who challenged young and old to sing along with him.

Before that, the school’s traditional Vase Week was filled with many events. One of them was the Talent Day. Young and old participated in the creation of a 45-meter drawing dedicated to 45 years since the establishment of the school. The impressive work was painted by the hands and imagination of the little artists from the initial stage. The multi-colored unique canvas, which everyone enjoyed, decorated the school building.

The talented students from “Ivan Vazov” Elementary School presented a “Language Show” in the four languages ​​studied at school: English, German, Russian and Bulgarian. The performance was shared with peers, parents, teachers and many guests.

The celebration ended with a dance. It started with the youngest choro players – the first graders, followed by dancers from the second, third, fourth and fifth grades. The audience enjoyed the dance skills in the complex Shopian uneven rhythms recreated in the seventh grade girls’ dance.

The dancers, led by the master of the dance Rusanka Bodurova, raised the mood and caused in the hearts pride and belonging to the unique Bulgarian dance folklore.
